<h3>Shanta Securities Recognized as Top Stock Brokerage in Bangladesh</h3>
Shanta Securities has been honored as one of the top three brokerage houses in Bangladesh at
the prestigious Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Independence
Golden Jubilee Award 2023. This significant recognition highlights the company's exceptional
performance and commitment to excellence in capital market development.

The award was presented by Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, who
handed over the accolade to Quazi Asaduzzaman, CEO of Shanta Securities, during a
ceremony held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka on 22 nd May, 2024.

Commenting on the achievement, Quazi Asaduzzaman, CEO of Shanta Securities, said, " We
are deeply honored to be recognized as one of the top three brokerage houses in Bangladesh.
This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team and our
unwavering commitment to providing the best services to our clients. We believe that by working

Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury graced the event as the chief guest, while BSEC
Chairman Professor Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam chaired the proceedings. The ceremony was
further distinguished by the presence of special guests, including Waseqa Ayesha Khan, State
Minister for Finance, and Md. Abdur Rahman Khan, Secretary of the Financial Institutions
Division of the Ministry of Finance. Shaikh Shamsuddin Ahmed, Commissioner at the BSEC,
delivered the welcome address, and other notable attendees included BSEC Commissioners
ATM Tariquzzaman, Professor Rumana Islam, and various stakeholders from the financial
community.

An experienced capital market specialist with over nine years of experience, S M Galibur Rahman, CFA, is the Head of Research &amp; Strategic Planning at Shanta Securities Limited. He is currently leading the company's research team, margin loan department, and digital business. Prior to joining Shanta Securities, Mr. Rahman worked at IDLC Securities Ltd as Lead Macro &amp; Financial Sector Sell-Side Analyst, and at Asian Tiger (AT) Capital Asset Management &amp; Alliance Capital Asset Management as a Buy-Side Analyst. He also worked for two years with Euromoney (A London-based magazine focused on business and finance) Country Risk Department as a Country Risk Expert from Bangladesh. Mr. Rahman is a director of the CFA Society Bangladesh. He completed his BBA and MBA with a major in Finance from Jagannath University and received his CFA charter in 2017.

S M Galibur Rahman, CFA

Md. Rakibul Hassan, CFA has been working with Shanta Securities Limited as a sell-side research analyst since Jan 2022. He has 5 years of experience in the corporate sector and actively covers companies in the FMCG and Pharma sector. Prior to joining Shanta, he worked at IPDC Finance Limited as a Business Planning Analyst and at United Securities Limited as a sell-side research associate. Mr. Rakib received his CFA© charter in 2022. He completed his MBA from IBA and BBA from FBS, the University of Dhaka with a major in Finance.

Md. Rakibul Hassan, CFA 

Thanveer Mahamud Shakil, CFA started his career with Shanta Securities Limited in December 2018. At present, he is responsible for covering the macroeconomy and financial sector, especially banks and NBFIs, and the power sector. Mr. Shakil earned his CFA© charter in 2022. He completed his BBA from the University of Dhaka and majored in Banking and Insurance.

Thanveer Mahamud Shakil, CFA

Raisa Binte Huda joined the Shanta Securities Research team as a Management Trainee. Previously, she accumulated a year of valuable experience as a Research Associate at LankaBangla Securities Ltd in 2022. Raisa is a finance professional, having earned both her BBA and MBA degrees from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) with a specialization in Finance and Banking.
